Ich habe mich in den vergangenen Tagen mit der Frage beschäftigt, in welchem Hostel in Seoul ich als erstes einkehren möchte.

Nach Internet-Recherche und Studium des Lonely Planets bin ich zu dem Entschluss gekommen, zuerst das Traveler´s A aufzusuchen. Dessen Website klingt auch recht vielversprechend:

Travelers A is opened in the summer of 1997 for foreign backpackers. Guests who have stayed here said it's a very friendly place to stay and easy to get to anywhere in Seoul due to its centralized location It might that easy to find this place which is tucked in a alley. But the guests soon find out that it is quiet close to many nightclubs and a subway station is a stone throw away.

Facilities : Free Internet access, Free private locker, Free coffee, Satellite TV in English and Japanese, 24 hour hot shower, 7 dormitories with comfortable bunkbeds, 22 western style rooms with double size bed and private shower room, TV, air-conditioner.

Die Beschreibung im Loney Planet lässt den Schuppen zwar in einem etwas anderen Licht erscheinen,

Near Dongdaemun down an alley of sewing machine shops, it is cheap but needs renovating. The dorms have two or three bunks in a room and the toilets and showers open onto the TV lounge. (...) It offers free Internet, but the kitchen facilities are very poor. (...)

dennoch spricht die Lage direkt am Dongdaemun Markt und der unschlagbar günstige Preis (12000 Won abzüglich Studentenrabatt, also unter 10 Euro) unbedingt dafür!

Aus Vorsicht habe ich aber erstmal nur für 3 Tage reserviert...
